We continuously update our protocols for the health and wellbeing of our team and our community. For example, in response to the COVID-19 outbreak we implemented our Safeguarding Programme 2020. It provided the operational procedures and protective equipment, in combination with training, on-going on and off-site support, to keep us all safe. CURRENT VACANCIES

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Multi-trade) - NEW ROLE! 

We are looking for an enthusiastic multi-trade maintenance technician to help us to maintain and renovate the luxury properties provided by Pebbles and its sister company REFURB around the South Hams. 

YOUR NEW ROLE 

This is a permanent, employed role, working 3 or 5 days a week to suit the  successful candidate. 

You will be responsible for completing general maintenance across both Pebbles and REFURB properties. 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

• Two years + experience in a similar DIY/maintenance role. 

• Experience in wet trades or landscaping. 

• Broad range of practical skills. 

• Full driving licence essential with own vehicle preferred (fleet vehicle can be provided if necessary). 

• An energetic, conscientious, and dependable candidate who takes pride in their work, with a good eye for detail. 

• Good at problem solving.

Pebbles of Salcombe is an established, family-run property company, operating maintenance and management services to a large selection of luxury holiday residences, across the South Hams.  

REFURB has been partnering with owners to achieve their maintenance (and renovation) requirements since 2010, including personalising new builds modernising older homes, and preparing properties for the holiday letting market.

STUDENT CLEANERS

There are both permanent and seasonal roles available around Kingsbridge and Salcombe, during both college holidays and term-time weekends. 

Great rates of pay offered, from £7.75 to £10.65 an hour, and you can choose your working schedule via our specialist app.

Transport is available from Kingsbridge.

YOUR NEW ROLE

The work will include cleaning and laundry duties, as directed by our housekeepers. You will be working within a welcoming friendly team and will be looked after by our housekeepers, so there will always be someone available to answer any questions.

All materials and transport to properties are provided.

If you’d like to ‘try before you buy’ you can do a paid Taster Day, to see if you like the work.

You will be energetic, conscientious, dependable and take pride in your work, and have a desire to maintain Pebbles’ 5-star service and reputation.

HOUSEKEEPER ?

Are you looking for quality permanent work that pays an employed regular long-term salary that you can rely on (this is not cash-in-hand seasonal work)?

Pebbles is a trustworthy family-run established business and we’re looking for housekeepers, with a driving licence, around Kingsbridge and Salcombe to work between 10 – 24 hours a week, to suit the successful candidate.

JOB DESCRIPTION?

You will be responsible for cleaning luxury homes (all with on-site parking) during the week, Fridays included. You will be supported by our friendly team who have been in the business for decades. Ask us advice or any question and we’ll always be there to help! 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You will have one year or more experience in care, hospitality, cleaning or running a family household.

You must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle to undertake this role. 

You will be a team player and enjoy working with others.

You will be conscientious, dependable and take pride in your work, and have a desire to maintain Pebbles’ 5-star service and reputation.

GARDENER

We’re looking for a gardener to join our garden team around Kingsbridge and Salcombe, for 3-5 days a week during the summer. This is a seasonal position, but there is a possibility it will become permanent.

YOUR NEW ROLE

You will assist the Gardens Team Leader and Manager in the day-to-day maintenance work of gardens at properties Pebbles cares for.

The role will include mowing lawns, weeding, pruning, and hedge trimming. You will have full support from the Gardens Team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Preferably you will have 1 year or more garden maintenance experience but training can be provided, so could suit someone without experience who is practical, a quick learner and energetic.

• You will be able to cope with working physically demanding days.

• You will be conscientious, dependable and take pride in your work, and have a desire to maintain Pebbles’ 5-star service and reputation.
