A family half-term retreat to their beloved holiday home was disrupted when a pump failure left the property without water or electricity.

A half-term break at a much-loved family holiday home took an unexpected turn when a fault within the well system left the property without both water and electricity.  

With essential services unavailable, the owners faced the possibility of having to cut their stay short.

Diagnosing the Problem

We responded immediately to investigate the problem.  Initial checks confirmed the water pump had failed.  

Given the age and condition of the system, a simple repair was not a viable solution; a complete replacement was required to restore a reliable water supply.

Managing the Solution

With the owners staying at home for a well deserved break, time was of the essence. Our priority was to minimise disruption while managing the process on their behalf.

We quickly engaged a specialist partner from our trusted network.  Working closely with the owners, we clearly communicated the situation, potential costs, and next steps.

Once approved, the team prepared for a full replacement solution, including a new pump and updated system components.  We also ensured water quality checks would be carried out and advised on any future servicing requirements to safeguard long-term reliability.

Restoring Comfort and Peace of Mind

The new system was installed promptly, restoring both water and power to the property.  Most importantly, the owners were able to continue enjoying their stay without

further disruption - and with complete peace of mind.
