Restoring Christmas Dinner
When guests arrived for their long‑awaited festive break at gorgeous Couch's House in Polperro, the last thing they expected was a major property issue - let alone one that could threaten their Christmas plans. When water leaked from the shower into the kitchen only two days before Christmas, our team responded swiftly and calmly, coordinating multiple trades within hours to protect the property and ensure our guests could enjoy their Christmas dinner as planned.
At 08:30am
We receive a call from trusted marketing agent Holiday Host reporting that guests have discovered a serious issue with the property: when they turn on the master shower, water begins to leak through the ceiling lights and into the kitchen below. Our Property Management and Maintenance team immediately coordinate with a trusted plumber to investigate the problem.
Around 30 minutes later
The situation escalates. The guests report a complete loss of power in the kitchen - including the fridge containing all of their Christmas food. Understanding the urgency and the potential impact on our guests’ holiday plans, we swiftly arrange for both a plumber and an electrician to attend the property without delay.
By 10:30am
Both trade specialists are on site. Working collaboratively, they quickly identify the source of the leak, repair the damage, and resolve the electrical fault. Safety checks are completed to ensure the property is fully operational.
By 11:30am
Power to the kitchen is restored, the fridge is running again, and the guests can continue to prepare for their Christmas celebrations with confidence.
