We at Pebbles provide our clients with the complete garden service, tailored to the requirements of each and every garden.  Every garden is different and every client will have a different expectation and need from their outdoor rooms.
 

Led by our Gardens & Grounds Manager, Ian May, we will ensure that your needs are met and the full potential of your garden are realized, developed and maintained to the highest possible standard.  Ian is fully qualified and has over 20 years experience in garden maintenance and development in London and South Devon. 

 

For every client garden requiring 8hrs or more Mar - Oct, a valuable Concept & Review Report is created for the owner, which through detailed photography and description, Ian presents his understanding of the garden now and as it could be tailored to the client's needs.

 

We offer the complete all year round garden maintenance service which would include:

 

Lawns:   Regular mowing is of course essential, but beyond that, it is also important to keep weeds and moss controlled and encourage the grass itself to flourish. This would be done by regularly treating the lawns with the necessary weed killers, moss killers and fertilizers. During the Autumn a revitalisation program would also be carried out as deemed necessary.

Weeds:   There is perhaps nothing worse than to see a weed strewn flower bed or patio area. All weeds would be removed by the correct method to ensure its effective removal from the garden. For the majority this would mean simply hoeing, but others may require digging out and some, such as bindweed or oxalis may require chemically eradicating.

Pruning: Each and every plant in your garden will have its own particular requirement as to how and when it is pruned. We will ensure that these are adhered to in order to get the plants to perform to their full capacity.

 

Plants:   Almost every garden can be improved by the introduction of new plants, whether it is by filling in an empty space or by replacing something which is wasting space. It is important for plants to be in the right place, not only aesthetically, but also for it’s own requirement in order to perform.

At Pebbles, we know our plants and we know what their requirements are. If it’s not in the right place we will find somewhere more suitable for it. If we have an empty space, we will fill it with something that suits the conditions. For this service, we would put our suggestions to the customer and would arrange to carry out any necessary planting, mostly in the early spring.  

 

Sweeping: We do not forget the basics and believe it is important to leave the site clean and tidy once the garden work has been completed. 

 

 

Others:   Early spring is a good time to get the jet wash out, to clean up paving, patio’s and decking areas and remove algae moss and lichen. It is also a good time to bring in a mulch for the flower beds. A good mulch can be important as it not only enriches the soil, but also helps to suppress weeds and retains moisture during the summer months.
